Cooling Chamber Synthesis You are a senior chemist working in a molecular research laboratory. Your team has built a molecular reactor that synthesises complex compounds, and every synthesis reaction takes exactly 5 minutes , that is 300 seconds , to complete. Research samples arrive at the laboratory throughout the day and each sample must undergo one synthesis reaction in the reactor. There is one critical limitation: the reactor processes only one sample at a time. Samples that are waiting to be processed are stored in a cooling chamber. If the cooling chamber already contains more than 10 samples at the moment a new sample arrives, that new sample is rejected on stability grounds and leaves the laboratory. Two details fix the behaviour exactly: The number of samples in the cooling chamber counts only the samples waiting to start synthesis.
