This was an on-campus internship recruitment process with four rounds.
Round 1 - Online Test: This round consisted of MCQs on computer science topics, primarily OS and network-related. There were also four coding questions. For two questions, C or C++ could be used, and for the other two, Python or Java was an option. The questions were mostly related to strings and arrays, ranging from easy to medium difficulty. The candidate passed 3 questions completely and 1 with partial output.
Round 2 - Technical Interview (Virtual): The interviewer asked about projects and hackathon experience mentioned in the resume. Common Linux commands (chmod, ls -a) were asked. A problem related to IP addresses was given, followed by a puzzle (suggesting GFG puzzles for preparation). Questions on DHCP and DNS working processes were asked, and the candidate had to explain VLAN. Coding was done by sharing the screen, including problems like printing odd and even indexed characters separately from a string, and counting character frequencies in a string (map approach). Differences between unordered and ordered maps in C++, and tuples and sets in Python were also discussed.
Round 3 - Managerial Interview (Virtual): This round involved questions about the candidate's family background and hackathon experience. The interviewer inquired about difficulties faced during projects and the hackathon, and how they were overcome.
Round 4 - HR Interview (Physical Face to Face): This round primarily focused on salary and compensation breakdown and was described as a formality.
