Jay Bhaskar, an alum of My Analytics School, shared his interview experience for a Data Scientist role at HiLabs. The placement process involved a test and interview rounds.
Round 1: Online Test
The test consisted of MCQs on machine learning, statistics, and aptitude. There were also two coding questions: one involving dynamic programming and another an optimization technique, specifically a greedy algorithm. The candidate completed all MCQs and one and a half coding questions.
Round 2: ML Technical Round
This round focused on the candidate's projects and internships. Questions were asked about algorithms mentioned in the resume, such as K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), K-Means Clustering, Deep Learning, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Random Forest, and general statistics.
Round 3: Coding Technical Round
In this round, the interviewer first asked a few GeeksforGeeks (GFG) puzzles, including the Gold Puzzle and Monte Carlo simulation. Following the puzzles, the discussion moved to LeetCode level 3 coding questions. Specific questions mentioned were a variable sliding window problem and a dynamic programming string question. The candidate mentioned getting selected after this round, implying no HR round was conducted for them.
