The selection process for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role at HCLTech consisted of four rounds. The eligibility criteria required 70% throughout academics with no backlogs.
Round 1: Online Assessment
This online test comprised 75 questions to be completed within 90 minutes. It was divided into several sections: Coding-Based Exercises; Technical MCQ (covering DBMS, OOPS, CN, ST, OS); Logical, Verbal, and Quantitative Reasoning; and Analytical and Critical Reasoning.
Round 2: HR Screening
This was a short, online, and straightforward process primarily to verify eligibility criteria (70% academics) by asking candidates to present their Aadhar Card, 10th, 12th, and UG mark sheets.
Round 3: Technical Interview (in-person)
The interview started with a self-introduction and explanation of projects and internships mentioned in the resume. As the candidate was a MERN stack developer, questions focused on JavaScript, React.js, and MongoDB.
