Experience:

This experience describes an on-campus recruitment process for the SDE-1 role.

Round 1 (Online Test): This round was conducted on an online platform (e.g., Codility) and consisted of 2-3 coding questions and one debugging question. The questions were typically easy to medium level, with some being medium to hard. Topics were mainly based on arrays and strings. One candidate mentioned 3 questions to be solved in 100 minutes, with one being a basic array implementation, another on graphs, and the third requiring consideration of all test cases. Another experience mentioned 3 questions, with one easy and two medium level, focused on arrays and strings.

Round 2 (Technical Interview 1): This round focused on subject knowledge and problem-solving skills, lasting about 45 minutes. Questions covered Java, OOPS (Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, real-life examples), OS, DBMS (Normalization, DML/DDL commands, ACID properties, Indexing, Deadlock), and Computer Networks basics. Candidates were often asked to introduce themselves and discuss their projects. Some coding questions were also asked, such as a modified Target Sum problem and "Add Two Numbers Given as Linked Lists", or "Buy and Sell Stock" and "Left View of a Binary Tree". Time and space complexity analysis were mandatory.

Round 3 (Technical Interview 2): This round was generally more difficult, lasting around 50-55 minutes. Interviewers delved deeper into technologies mentioned in the resume. Questions were asked on Machine Learning (EDA, Linear/Logistic Regression), Cloud computing, IT Streams, Full-stack development roles, DevOps, Flutter, and middleware technologies. One candidate was asked to design a database and its schema for a college management app with all functionalities and relationships, followed by OOPs implementation in real-world apps. Coding questions included "Coin Change Problem (Minimum Number of Coins)" (Greedy) and "Triplets with sum Zero", or two medium-level coding questions like "Column Name from a Given Column Number" and its reverse. Projects were discussed in depth.

Round 4 (HR/Fitment Interview): This round was typically 10-15 minutes long and focused on behavioral questions like "Why HashedIn?", future study plans, strengths, weaknesses, and career goals. There was often no elimination in this round, and all students who reached this stage received an offer.
