Online HackerRank OA Round
Within a few weeks of applying, a test link was received. It was a 90-minute test consisting of two coding questions (one easy, one medium) and some MCQs. The candidate solved all questions with all test cases passing.
Technical Interview — I
Soon after an HR phone call, an email was received to schedule an interview with a Senior Engineering Manager. The interview started with introductions, and then the manager asked the candidate to walk through their resume. Questions were prompted based on projects, such as why certain decisions were made. For instance, in a project involving dynamic webhooks to capture logs and an SDK, the interviewer asked how to eliminate the use of webhooks and only use the SDK. Further questions revolved around the Publisher-Subscriber model with Redis and RabbitMQ, as these were used in one of the candidate's projects. The candidate emphasized the importance of driving the interview and speaking about all known related topics.
Technical Interview — II
After a few days, another email from HR indicated a round with the CTO and Cofounder of HackerRank, Hari. This interview focused on open-source contributions and previous work at Dukaan, including the impact made. The CTO delved into the candidate's commits in various open-source projects.
