The interview process for an SDET role at GreyOrange involved three rounds.
Round 1: Online Assessment
This round included two DSA questions (described as being on the easier side, based on arrays and matrices). There were also 20 MCQs based on CS fundamentals, mainly OOPS. One question involved writing test cases for a webpage, similar to MakeMyTrip.
Round 2: Technical Interview
The interviewer started with an introduction and was friendly. The discussion then moved to the candidate's internship project, for which they were asked to write test cases. Questions about APIs were asked, and the candidate had to write code for GET and POST methods. Synchronous and asynchronous programming were also discussed. A DSA question similar to "Sort an array of 0s, 1s and 2s" was posed. Finally, the interviewer asked to write a SQL query based on Joins and discussed different types of joins and their differences. This round lasted about half an hour.
Round 3: Technical Interview + HR
This round began with some hard SQL queries involving combinations of joins and subqueries across three tables. A DSA question involving hashing (easy) was also asked. The interviewer then asked about Linux and Unix. The round concluded with HR questions such as "Why GreyOrange?", "What do you want to do in the next 5 years?", and "Why the testing role?".
