The interview process for the SWE-1 role started with an Online Assessment (OA). It included two medium-difficulty coding questions, one of which involved dynamic programming, and another on an array where a pattern had to be identified. There were also 3-5 aptitude questions. The OA was 1 hour long, and the candidate completed it in 30 minutes, getting shortlisted for the next round.
Round 2 was a Technical Interview. The interviewer skipped introductions and immediately started with questions. The first question was an easy linked list problem, which took about 2 minutes to solve. Following this, the interviewer delved into system design, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts, Operating Systems (OS), Database Management Systems (DBMS), and Computer Networks. Specific questions included "what happens when you write google.com in your search engine," and discussions on cache types and what occurs when a server cannot find an IP locally. The candidate was rejected after this round.
A third technical round was mentioned but the candidate did not proceed to it.
