Genpact visited the candidate's college in September 2023 for a software developer role, involving a four-stage selection process.
Round 1: Online Test (1 hour)
This round comprised 8 MCQ questions (easy, covering number series, patterns, and normal arithmetic) and 1 coding question (medium level, a modified Leetcode problem). Out of 2000 applicants, 103 were shortlisted for the next round after three days.
Round 2: Group Discussion (GD)
Candidates were called back to campus and divided into groups of at least 10 students. Topics for discussion included social media, and "work from home or work from the office." This was a major elimination round, with only 45 out of 103 students selected for the next stage.

Round 4: HR Interview
This round involved simple questions such as personal introduction, family background, "What if you don't get selected?", "What is your future plan?", and "What if you get a better offer?". The candidate admitted to making a mistake by not researching Genpact's background, which was questioned by the HR. Ultimately, only 13 students were placed, and the candidate was not among them.
