This candidate's interview experience for an Application Developer role at Fujitsu was part of a campus recruitment drive. The preparation involved studying Data Structures, Algorithms, Java, Selenium, and OOPS for about 4 months. Tips included practicing previously asked interview and online test questions, reviewing experiences from platforms like Codestudio and Leetcode, and having at least two well-explained projects.
Round 1: Technical Interview (Video Call)
This round lasted 60 minutes and was conducted via video call. It started with a simple coding question related to Linked Lists: "Reverse Linked List." The follow-up question asked for an O(N) time and O(1) space complexity solution. The approach discussed involved an iterative method using a stack to store and then pop nodes to reverse the list. After the coding question, the interviewer asked questions from Java, Java Collections, and OOPS.
Round 2: Technical Interview (Video Call)
This round also lasted 60 minutes and focused heavily on project discussions and scenario-based questions. Topics included system design, database management, cloud computing, and programming environments. A specific SQL question asked was: "Which SQL keyword removes duplicate records from a result set?" The round also involved discussions on the design aspects of solutions.
Round 3: HR Interview
The final round covered basic HR questions such as: "Why should we hire you?", "What are your expectations from the company?", "How was your overall interview experience?", "What are your strengths and weaknesses?", and "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?". Tips for this round included thinking before speaking, being open-minded, and having opinions.
