This interview experience was for an Application Developer role through an on-campus placement drive, with an eligibility criterion of above 7 CGPA.
Round 1 (Technical - Video Call): This 60-minute round began with a coding question: "Reverse Linked List." A follow-up question required solving it with O(N) time and O(1) space complexity, with an iterative approach using a stack suggested. This was followed by questions on Java, Java Collections, and OOPS. Specific Java questions included differentiating between HashSet and HashMap, and explaining the use of the final keyword in variables, methods, and classes.
Round 2 (Technical - Video Call): This 60-minute round focused on Selenium. Questions asked were "What is the difference between implicit wait and explicit wait in Selenium?" and "What is the difference between findElement and findElements in Selenium?".
Round 3 (Technical Cum HR Round): This 30-minute round combined technical and HR aspects. It started with basic Java concepts. Subsequently, standard HR questions were posed, such as "Why should we hire you?", "What are your expectations from the company?", "How was your overall interview experience?", "What are your strengths and weakness according to you?", and "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?". The candidate advised being honest and articulate in this round, noting that technical discussions, possibly involving design, could also occur.
