Experience:

This interview experience for a 2-month Project Intern role at Fractal was an on-campus opportunity. The selection process consisted of an Online Assessment followed by two interview rounds: a Technical Interview and an HR Interview.

Online Assessment (OA):
The online assessment comprised three sections: Aptitude, Data Interpretation, and Communication. The difficulty level of subsequent questions increased if the previous answers were correct.

Interview 1: Technical (approx. 20 minutes)
The interviewer began by asking for an introduction. Following this, the candidate was asked to write code for printing the Fibonacci sequence and checking if a number is prime. A puzzle involving three switches and three bulbs was also presented. The interview then moved to DBMS concepts, covering normalization (its types, pros, and cons), and some SQL questions based on joins. The interviewer also asked about projects mentioned on the candidate's resume.

Interview 2: HR (implied)
The HR round involved questions about the candidate's strengths and weaknesses, their preference between smart work and hard work, and what a company should seek in an employee. The interviewer also inquired about the candidate's knowledge of Fractal and its work, their willingness to relocate, plans for higher studies, and where they envision themselves in 5 years. Resume-based questions, including an explanation of a specific project, were also asked. At the end of both interviews, the candidate was given the opportunity to ask questions.

Suggestions:
The candidate suggested being honest on the resume and exploring YouTube and GeeksforGeeks for mock interviews tailored for data roles. Emphasize understanding concepts, coding problems, and scenarios discussed in mock interviews. Focus on Puzzles, Python, and SQL for preparation.
