This experience for a fintech company involved a comprehensive 5-round interview process.
Round 1 (Technical): Conducted on the Intervue platform, this round focused on Spring Boot, with multiple questions on implementing various functionalities. Microservices and Core Java concepts were also discussed, along with one easy DSA question.
Round 2 (Technical/DSA): Began with a general introduction to the candidate's projects. Two DSA questions were asked: "Given an array of strings, group the anagrams together" and "Given a String, count the consonants and vowels present in the input string". Questions related to microservices were also part of this round.
Round 3 (Technical/DSA/System Design): Involved a deep discussion about the candidate's projects, including performance improvement factors and optimization strategies. A DSA question, "Find the Rotation Count in Rotated Sorted array", was also posed.
Round 4 (HR): This was a Cultural Fit Round, assessing the candidate's alignment with the company's culture.
Round 5 (Design): The final round focused on design, with further discussion around projects, major issues, and challenges. Two system design questions were asked: one on designing a system to fetch data from a database through an API with a rate limit of 10 hits per second over a 15-minute period, maximizing data extraction; and another on handling a scenario with two asynchronous APIs and one synchronous API, requiring the synchronous API's result while asynchronous APIs run in the background.
