The interview process for the Associate Software Engineer role at Eurofins on-campus consisted of four rounds.
Round 1: Aptitude Test
This round included sections on Quants (covering topics like time & work, profit and loss, time speed and distance), Verbal (grammar, passages), and Logical Reasoning (clocks, calendars, coding, decoding, relations).
Round 2: Group Discussion
Candidates were divided into batches of 8-10 people. A simple topic was provided, and one group argued "for" the topic while the other argued "against" it. Afterwards, the groups switched sides, requiring them to argue against their initial stance without repeating points. The topic given was "online courses vs classroom teaching".
Round 3: Technical Interview
This round lasted 30-40 minutes and involved two panels. The questions primarily focused on the content mentioned in the candidate's resume. While the interviewers initially focused on C++, the candidate informed them of their comfort with Java, and questions were then shifted to Java. Candidates were advised to be honest if they didn't know an answer. Thorough knowledge of mini-projects was crucial, as interviewers asked to write parts of the project code. Simple SQL questions were also asked.
Round 4: HR Interview
The HR round involved questions about the candidate's personal background, family, and dreams. They were also asked in-depth questions about their mini-projects, including writing a small part of the code and demonstrating the logic for a given problem in their preferred language. It was emphasized to pay close attention to the placement talk given by the company, as questions related to it were likely.
