Round 1: DSA + Kafka Curiosity
The interviewer noticed "Kafka" multiple times on the candidate's resume, leading to a discussion about its usage in previous projects, fault tolerance, load balancing, failures, and real-world use cases. This was followed by a DSA problem, described as a blend of "House Robber II" and "Combination Sum." The candidate walked through both recursive and memoized approaches, which satisfied the interviewer.

Round 2: System Design
This round was conducted by an SDE-3 and was "deep into systems thinking." The interviewer presented an open-ended problem: design a system to collect credentials from multiple financial apps, scrape data, process it, and generate analytics for users and admins. The candidate had to dynamically adapt the architecture as new admin-level analysis requirements were added. The round extended beyond the allotted time as the candidate kept pitching scalable ideas (e.g., analytics with pie charts, generic services). A pro tip was to practice using tools like draw.io or Alphine beforehand.

Round 3: Hiring Manager Round
