The candidate applied for an on-campus intern role as a Software Developer at Ethosh Digital, a startup focused on AR/VR. The interview process consisted of two rounds, following a CV-based shortlisting.
Technical Round: This round involved questions on C++ concepts such as OOPs, Threading, and Templates and their uses. Following the conceptual questions, the interviewer presented two easy-to-medium level problems to test problem-solving skills. These problems were based on Binary Search and Graph algorithms (BFS/DFS). The candidate initially provided brute-force approaches and then refined them to the main concepts.
HR Round: The HR round covered several behavioral aspects. It began with an introduction from the candidate, followed by questions based on their CV to assess its genuineness. The interviewer also inquired about the candidate's values, strengths, and weaknesses to determine compatibility with the company. A tricky question was "Why this company?", which the candidate found challenging to answer. The interviewer made the candidate feel comfortable throughout the process. Finally, the candidate was given an opportunity to ask questions.
