This experience details a typical recruitment process for freshers at Ericsson.
Round 1: Online Assessment
This was an elimination round consisting of 60 MCQ questions covering aptitude, reasoning, and English. The paper was described as not tough but lengthy. Aptitude questions included topics like Time and Work, Speed Distance, LCM and HCF, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple Interest, and Compound Interest. The English section checked grammatical knowledge and error correction. Reasoning focused on puzzles. Tips included not spending too much time on specific questions.
Round 2: Technical Interview
This round lasted about 40-45 minutes. For Computer Science backgrounds, the company primarily focused on Computer Networks rather than programming languages like Java or SQL, as Ericsson is a telecommunication company. Questions included designing the OSI Model and subsequent questions about it, definitions of Router, Difference between Switch and Hub, Repeater, Full form of LTE, and reasons for the increasing demand for 5G. For CS students, a question on Bubble Sort was also asked. Additionally, questions on AI, the future of AI, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning were posed.
Round 3: HR Round
This round lasted 10-15 minutes and involved simple behavioral questions. It was suggested that if a candidate clears the technical round, selection for the HR round usually leads to selection for the role. Tips included knowing oneself, being calm, patient, and polite.
