Emerson visited the campus for a full-time Software Developer role. The interview process consisted of three rounds.
Round 1: Online Technical Test (Emerson Campus Assessment)
This round had a duration of 2 hours and a total of 85 marks, divided into 5 sections:
The coding question was of medium level, requiring optimization, and was related to the sliding window approach. For the C++ or Java section, candidates could choose their preferred language.
Round 2: Technical Interview Round
The interviewer started by asking for an introduction and then delved into the candidate's favorite subject mentioned in the resume. Questions were asked about every word on the resume, projects (structure, documentation), and coding profile rankings. The interviewer also asked 2-3 managerial questions. One easy coding question was given, with a focus on the candidate's approach, confidence, and communication skills.
Round 3: HR Round
This round began with an introduction and then focused on projects, specifically how the candidate planned to achieve small and big projects. It included basic HR-type questions such as "Did you want to join the company?", "What do you know about Emerson?", and discussions about location.
The candidate was placed at Emerson. The advice shared was to stay calm and answer confidently, as practice and hard work pay off.
