This interview experience was for a Software Engineer role, likely targeting the 2025 pass-out batch, and took place on December 20, 2024. The interview was a technical round that followed an online examination.
The interview began with the most common question: "Introduce yourself." Candidates were advised to cover their educational background, skills, projects, internships, extracurricular activities, and hobbies within 1 to 1.5 minutes, as future questions might depend on this answer.
Technical questions included explaining the **Binary Search Algorithm**. Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts were a significant focus, with questions on the **four pillars of OOPs** (Abstraction, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, Inheritance) and their sub-parts, such as **different types of inheritance**. For Java, specific questions about the **features of Java 8** were asked, including Lambda expressions, method references, functional interfaces, Stream APIs, default methods in interfaces, and the new Date-Time API.
In the Database Management System (DBMS) section, the interviewer asked, "How will you rate yourself in DBMS?" followed by questions on **different normal forms**. A specific SQL query was also mentioned: "Write a query for finding the employee with the highest salary."
Project-related questions were prominent. Candidates were asked if they had done any projects and were advised to mention at least two technical projects on their resume. Further questions included discussing the **technologies used in the projects** and the **future scope of the projects**, including how they could be taken to the next level.
General HR questions like "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" and "Why do you want to join ENTNT?" were also part of the interview.
