Experience:

The candidate, a Final Year Mechanical Student from NIT, participated in the BOX8 on-campus drive for Software Developer. The process involved filling a lengthy form covering internships, projects, and basic HR questions, followed by 3 rounds.

Round 1 (Coding Round): This round was conducted on HackerRank and lasted 90 minutes. It included two coding questions: one easy level on Array transformation and one medium level testing knowledge of unordered maps. Plagiarism was strictly monitored.

Round 2 (Technical Interview 1): This round lasted about 45 minutes, extending beyond the scheduled time. Two interviewers were present. They started by asking about projects and dived deep into the candidate's internship experience. Questions on React were asked as it was mentioned in the resume. Basic SQL queries testing COUNT, GROUP BY, and other SQL commands were also part of this round. Two coding questions were given: "Print all pairs with given sum" (the candidate provided 5 approaches from brute force to optimized) and "Reverse words in a given string".

Round 3 (Technical Interview 2): This round, also with two interviewers, was noted as being "bit hard" and extended from 45 minutes to about 90 minutes. Questions related to backend development were asked, including the difference between local storage and session storage, cache and cookies, and topics related to JWT. Networking protocols and DNS Server were also discussed. Two coding questions were also part of this round, though the specific problems were not detailed.
