Rounds: 5 rounds (Online Assessment, Technical Round 1, Technical Round 2, Professional Fitment, HR Round)
Topics Asked: DSA (Find element with maximum frequency in array, Print numbers 1 to n without loop, Sort array of strings, Bottom view of binary tree, Longest palindromic subsequence, House Robbery problem), OOPs (pillars, polymorphism, types, examples), Computer Networks (LAN/WAN, applications), DBMS (SQL vs NoSQL, why NoSQL in project), Projects (AI integration, motivation), General Awareness (clock angle puzzle), Behavioral (team projects, difficulties, conflict handling, taking blame, "Why DB?", "Why finance based company?", improving technical skills, team member lagging)
This candidate was rejected for a Graduate Analyst role in Pune in September 2024.
Online Assessment: Consisted of 3 coding questions and lasted 1.5 hours.
Technical Round 1 (30-40 minutes): Started with an introduction. Followed by DSA questions: "Find element with maximum frequency in the array", "Print numbers from 1 to n without using any loop", and "Sort the array of strings". Then an OOPs question: "Explain pillars for OOPs" and a detailed discussion on polymorphism (types and examples). For Computer Networks, "What are LAN and WAN and their applications?". For DBMS, "SQL vs NoSQL database" and "Why have I used NoSQL in my project?". Project discussion followed, including choice of database and motivation. A general awareness question was asked: "What is the angle between two arms of a clock at 10:15?"
Technical Round 2 (40-50 minutes): Started directly with DSA questions: "Bottom view of binary tree", "Longest palindromic subsequence" (aiming for the most optimized solution), and "House Robbery problem" (maximize amount robbed by a thief, non-consecutive houses). Later, the project was discussed again, specifically regarding AI-based technology integration. Questions about co-curricular activities and positions of responsibility in college were also asked.
Professional Fitment (10-15 minutes): General HR questions were asked: "What are my team projects?", "What difficulties did I encounter while working in a team?", "What will you do if one of the members falls ill on the day of project presentation?", "How do you improve on your technical skills daily?", and "Why a bank?"
HR Round (15-25 minutes): Analytical and thinking-based HR questions included: "How have you handled conflict in your team?", "Have you ever done something which is still...", "Have you been in a situation when you have to take blame for someone else's mistake? How you handled it?", "Why DB?", "Why a finance-based company?", and "Have you ever had disagreement with your team members and how you resolved it?" A situational question was also posed: "Have you had any situation when your team member lagged in your work and at the time for the final presentation you got to know about it? How you reacted and resolved the issue?"
