This interview experience for the Analyst role at Deloitte took place at SASTRA Deemed University. The selection process started with an Online Assessment. This first round evaluated Aptitude (Quantitative, Verbal, and Non-Verbal Reasoning) and Coding, which included two basic-level coding problems. Out of approximately 700 participants, 127 were shortlisted.
The second round was an Online Interview, conducted on the company's official platform. The candidate experienced a two-hour delay and some connectivity issues. The interview began with a self-introduction covering educational background and experiences.
Technical questions revolved around the candidate's mini-project, asking about its objectives, tools, technologies, challenges, contributions, desired changes, and technical difficulties faced. Behavioral questions assessed teamwork and problem-solving, such as handling team difficulties, the meaning of success, overcoming failure, approaching goals, reasons not to be hired, plans for a master's degree, and comfort reporting to someone younger. The technical round also included a coding problem: "Minimum steps to climb a staircase," which was solved using an inbuilt compiler.
