The candidate applied for a Java Developer role on the Dassault Systèmes career portal. After an email exchange regarding tech stack, experience, CTC, and notice period, an HR telephonic screening confirmed the number of rounds.
Round 1 (Online Test): This round consisted of core Java multiple-choice questions and two coding questions. One coding question was from trees and another from arrays.
Round 2 (Technical Interview): Questions were asked about OOPS concepts, internal working of HashMap, various collection questions, and multithreading concepts. Two coding questions were also asked: one from Hashing and the other using the sliding window approach.
Round 3 (Managerial/HR Interview - 1 hour): This round included both HR-style and technical questions. The interviewer introduced themselves, and then the candidate introduced themselves, including family background. A coding question was given, and the interviewer first asked for the approach before coding it in Notepad. This was described as a medium-level question, but the candidate found it easy as they had practiced similar problems. Discussions also covered the candidate's projects, daily responsibilities, and situational-based questions. The candidate rated this round as easy to medium.
The results were announced on the same day, and the candidate was selected, followed by salary discussions.
