This on-campus interview experience for Altimetrik involved four rounds and lasted 5-6 hours.
Round 1 (Online Test): The test was conducted on Hackerrank and featured 30-40 questions. It included tricky OOPs MCQ questions, Java API questions (mostly on collections), and two coding questions based on string manipulation. The selection rate was low, with only 20 out of 380 candidates clearing this round.
Round 2 (Technical Interview 1): After a basic introduction, the candidate was asked to dry run their code from Round 1 and then optimize it. Questions related to college projects were also asked. The candidate mentioned that knowledge of MySQL joins and subqueries was essential for this interview.
Round 3 (Technical Interview 2): The interviewer reviewed the candidate's explanations from the previous round and decided to focus on problem-solving skills by presenting a puzzle. When the candidate provided a solution, the interviewer seemed disappointed and asked for a different approach. This process occurred 2-3 times, which the candidate later realized was a test of patience.
Round 4 (HR Round): This round aimed to understand the candidate's aspirations, future goals, and vision for growth within the company.
