The placement process for Data Insight involved five elimination rounds, with over 800+ students initially considered.
Round 1: This round consisted of four programming questions, ranging from medium to hard difficulty. Out of 800+ students, only 22 were selected for the next rounds, typically those who correctly solved 3 or more problems.
Round 2: This was an MCQ-based test comprising 35 programming MCQs (based on C, C++, Data Structures, OOPS, and Java) and 15 aptitude-based MCQ questions.
Round 3: A short interview focused on known tech stacks, projects, and internship experiences. Only one student was selected for the next round after this stage.
Round 4: This 45-minute interview focused on Data Structures and Algorithms. The interviewer asked about trees, graphs, priority queues, time complexity, and space complexity. A new problem on graphs, specifically based on Dijkstra's algorithm, had to be solved.
Round 5: This round involved a short interview with the company's tech lead. Questions were asked about projects, and the candidate's knowledge of tech stacks mentioned in their portfolio was tested.
