The interview process for Insights Software consisted of three rounds.
Round-1 (Online Assessment): This round included questions on aptitude, logical reasoning, C++, Java, and Python output questions, along with other technical concepts. Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections were described as solvable with proper practice. Technical questions involved finding expected outputs of programs in C++, Java, and Python. There were also coding questions, one based on Java classes and another on SQL, designed to check fundamental technical knowledge.
Round-2 (Technical Interview): This round lasted 30-40 minutes. The interviewer asked for an introduction and detailed explanations of projects. Questions on OOPS concepts, such as the four pillars and real-world examples, were asked, along with basic Java questions. SQL questions involved writing queries for given scenarios, focusing on concepts like joins, and TCL commands (Rollback and Commit). Strong knowledge of SQL and OOPS was recommended.
Round-3 (Managerial & HR Round): This round included typical HR questions such as "Tell me about yourself," "Tell about your strengths and weaknesses," "Where do you see yourself in the next couple of years," and "Why should we hire you; what makes you unique from others."
