The interview process for the MTS-SDET role consisted of an online assessment followed by three technical rounds, all conducted back-to-back.
Round 0 - Online Assessment (Interview Bit, 60 mins): This round included two coding questions: "Reorder List" (similar to LeetCode) and "Word Ladder II" (similar to LeetCode). 12 candidates were shortlisted for the subsequent rounds.
Round 1 - Technical (Zoom and CodeSignal, 30 mins): This round involved one coding question: "Segregate positive integers on one side and negative ones to another in an array, O(1) space," with a follow-up to maintain the original order. Additionally, a few questions on Operating Systems and projects were asked.
Round 2 - Technical (Zoom and CodeSignal, 30 mins): The candidate was asked one coding question: "Longest Substring with K Distinct Characters," which they solved using a sliding window approach. A few Network-related questions and questions about internships were also part of this round. Approximately 6 candidates proceeded to the final round.
Round 3 - HM Round (Zoom, 30 mins): This round focused on in-depth questions about Operating Systems and Networks. Contrary to expectations, no behavioral questions were asked. Two candidates were ultimately selected for an Internship + Full-Time offer.
Tips: The candidate emphasized the importance of knowing OS concepts well, particularly IPCs in Linux, and having a strong understanding of Networking concepts, especially the OSI Model.
