Experience:

The first round of the interview for a co-op position was a 2-on-1 setup with a chemical project engineer and a mechanical rotating equipment engineer. The interviewers started by asking the candidate to introduce themselves and discuss their hobbies. They also provided information about their own roles. The majority of the interview consisted of STAR-based behavioral questions. Examples included: "Describe a time when you worked well with a team," "Describe a time when you faced disagreement with a team member. How did you fix the situation?", and "Describe a time when you took a risk or challenged a tradition. What was the outcome?" The interviewers were attentive to the candidate's resume and even suggested considering a role with the Materials team based on their experience, indicating a personalized approach. The interviewer advised using the STAR method and asked follow-up questions if answers lacked sufficient detail. Feedback was expected within "a couple weeks" to "over 2 weeks." The overall experience was described as comfortable.
