Celebal Technologies conducted an on-campus recruitment drive for Associate Software Engineer freshers, with the entire process being virtual on the Mettl platform and MS Teams. The recruitment had 4 rounds.
Round 1 involved Resume Shortlisting, where students submitted basic details and resumes via a Google form. There were various profiles like Data & Power-BI Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Python Developer, and Quality Analyst. A minimum of 70% in all previous school exams and a 7+ CGPA in college were required. Out of 240+ applicants, about 180 were shortlisted for the online assessment.
Round 2 was an Online Assessment (Technical) consisting of MCQs and coding questions. It included sections on Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, and CS Fundamentals. The coding section had 1 easy DSA question, 2 easy SQL queries, 1 medium DSA question, and 1 hard DSA question. Only 35 students cleared this round.
Round 3 was a Technical Interview conducted via MS-Teams, with five interviewers specializing in different subjects. The candidate had selected the Cloud Engineer profile. Questions asked included: "Find the pivot element of the array given," "Find the 2nd highest element in the array," "How does a hashmap work?", "Count the occurrence of numbers in the array using a hashmap," "What is an object?", "Differences between Runtime polymorphism & Compile-time polymorphism," "Encapsulation & how is it different from Abstraction," "Diff bet. Virtual machine & Dual Boot in a PC," "What are various algorithms in OS? Which is best and why?". The interview lasted about 75 minutes, and the candidate answered 90% of the questions, leading to selection for further rounds.
Round 4 was an HR Interview, a short 10-minute MS-Teams call. HR questions included: Introduction, Family details, Extra hobbies & achievements, and Preferred Job location.
