The interview process for a role at Commonwealth Bank of Australia consisted of three rounds.
Round 1: (Test) This round was conducted on the LNT Edutech platform and comprised aptitude and coding questions. The questions were of medium difficulty. The aptitude section had a time limit of 55 minutes, and the coding section was 1 hour. The coding part included 3 questions: the first from HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and the second from React. The candidate was able to solve the first question entirely and passed only 1 test case for the second.
Round 2: (Test) This was another test round, including Reasoning, Verbal, English, and two Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions, which were of medium difficulty.
Round 3: (Virtual Interview - Technical and HR Round) This virtual interview combined technical and HR questions. Technical questions included: "Tell me about yourself," "Tell me about the tech stack you worked on and why you chose them," and 2-3 questions from Dotnet basics. The interviewer also inquired about the candidate's approach to a DSA question, specifically if recursion was used instead of iteration.
The HR questions covered: "Why are you leaving your current company (Cognizant, after 3 months as a fresher)?", "Tell 3 weaknesses and 3 strengths," and "How will you adapt to a new organization's culture?". There were 5-6 more HR questions that the candidate did not recall exactly, but described the HR round as "really good."
The candidate was ultimately SELECTED. They suggested preparing for technical questions using GeeksforGeeks and a self-paced DSA course.
