This was an on-campus diversity hiring (female-only) drive for Capgemini's Exceller program, with a well-structured interview process. Every round was an elimination round.
Round 1: Assessments
This round included a Technical assessment with 25 questions: 15 pseudocode questions (medium-hard level) heavily based on finding output for arrays, stacks, queues, bitwise/arithmetic operators, and pre/post-increment operators. There were also 10 easy MCQs on basic programming languages and individual DSA theory. An English Proficiency Assessment consisted of MCQs on grammar, antonyms/synonyms, and fill-in-the-blanks (easy level). Finally, a Cognitive test involved games (puzzles within a time limit) and 75 psychometric questions.
Round 2: Coding Assessment
Only top-performing students from Round 1 were eligible for this round; others directly proceeded to the Communication round. The candidate did not qualify for this round.
Round 3: Communication Assessment
This round had four sections: read and repeat, hear and repeat, listen to a conversation and answer questions, and an extempore speech (30 seconds to think, 45 seconds to speak). Tips included focusing and remembering, as no repetition was allowed.
Round 4: Technical Interview
The interview lasted 25-30 minutes. Questions included "Self-Introduction," "What is your final year project?", "Projects made over the years," "Programming languages I feel comfortable with," "Basics of SQL," "Difference between primary and foreign key," "What is union and union all and their difference," "OOPS concept with example," "What are break, continue and pass," "Concepts of C++ like pointers, friend function," and "A program to print palindrome numbers in Python." The interviewer focused heavily on the resume, so candidates were advised to thoroughly review every detail and certification mentioned. The result was pending at the time of sharing the experience.
