Detailed experience

Round 1 – Technical Interview The shortlisted candidates were called in batches of around 30 students and were asked to submit their resumes before the interview. The process started around 9 AM, but my interview took place at around 5 PM, resulting in nearly 8 hours of waiting. Although the wait was tiring, I used the time productively by revising my projects, technical concepts, and their fundamentals. I made sure I was thoroughly prepared to explain everything mentioned on my resume, including the basic concepts related to my projects. The interview focused mainly on my resume, projects, technical knowledge, and fundamentals. The experience taught me the importance of utilizing waiting time effectively and staying prepared throughout the recruitment process. Round 2 – HR Interview The HR round was brief and lasted around 5–10 minutes. The interviewer mainly focused on my confidence, communication skills, and personality. Questions asked: Tell me about yourself. Why Cognizant? Tell me about your hometown. How was your campus life? Tell me about your hostel life. Are you comfortable with relocation? The round was conversational and straightforward. The interviewer mainly assessed my confidence and verbal communication. Overall Experience Overall, the recruitment process was a good learning experience. The key takeaway for me was to know my resume and projects thoroughly, stay confident, and make effective use of the time available during the selection process. I was eventually shortlisted for the role. I hope this experience helps others preparing for their recruitment process. All the best!
