Detailed experience
I recently interviewed with Chevron for a software engineering role. The process had multiple rounds covering coding, CS fundamentals, and behavioral questions. The coding round focused mainly on DSA, with questions involving arrays, strings, and problem-solving. The interviewer also asked me to explain my approach, discuss time and space complexity, and consider edge cases. The technical discussion covered topics like OOP, DBMS, SQL, operating systems, and basic computer networks. There were also questions about my projects and the technical decisions I made while building them. The behavioral round was fairly straightforward. I was asked about my projects, teamwork, challenges I had faced, and why I wanted to join Chevron. Overall, the interview was moderately difficult. The interviewers were professional, and being strong in DSA and CS fundamentals definitely helped.
