I recently interviewed for the Software Engineer/EDG role at MathWorks. The process had an online assessment followed by technical and HR/managerial rounds. The online test covered DSA, aptitude, OOP, OS, DBMS, and programming concepts, along with coding questions. The technical interviews focused mainly on DSA, C/C++, core CS fundamentals, and projects mentioned on my resume. I was asked to explain my approach and optimize my solutions rather than just give the final answer. The HR/managerial round was mostly about my projects, teamwork, strengths, weaknesses, and why I wanted to join MathWorks. Overall, the interview was challenging but fair. I would recommend being strong in DSA, CS fundamentals, and knowing your resume/projects thoroughly.
