The process consisted of an Online Assessment followed by two offline interview rounds at S.P.I.T. Around 250–270 candidates appeared for the OA, out of which 25 were shortlisted for interviews. The OA was conducted on HackerEarth and consisted of 60 MCQs in 50 minutes. Questions covered cloud services, Azure modules, SQL, aptitude and basic OS concepts including Linux/macOS. The test was manageable with sufficient time, so revising cloud one-liners, DBMS basics and Linux commands was useful. In Interview Round 1, the interviewer started with an introduction and asked me to explain my journey from before college to the present. I discussed my committees, projects and internships. The interviewer then went deeper into my Python ticket-sales predictor project and my web-development internship, particularly asking how I deployed the project and where/how it was hosted. I was also asked about my career goals, where I explained my interest in data analysis and debugging rather than hardcore coding, and mentioned my IBM Data Analyst course. The technical discussion included Vercel deployment and DNS, specifically how I transferred a domain to Vercel and how DNS works in that process. I was also asked about DBMS fundamentals and SQL vs MongoDB. For cloud, I was honest that my exposure was mainly theoretical rather than hands-on. The interview was not only about technical depth but also about connecting my answers to my projects, teamwork and experiences. Out of 25 candidates, 10 were shortlisted for the second round. In Interview Round 2, the discussion was a mix of technical and behavioural questions. The technical part focused heavily on Computer Networks, including the OSI model, network protocols, how computers/devices are identified on a network, network topologies, and whether I had worked on any computer-network-related projects. I was also asked behavioural questions about my family background and career goals, including my plan to pursue an MBA in the future. Communication skills were an important part of this round. The interviewer then asked me to select one project and explain it end-to-end. I chose my Python ML project and explained it step by step, covering the overall workflow and implementation. The key was to keep the explanation structured and clear rather than giving unnecessarily complicated answers. Ultimately, 3 candidates were selected and 4 were waitlisted. Overall, the interviews focused on fundamentals, communication, resume/project knowledge and the ability to explain technical work clearly. Knowing one project completely from end to end and revising second-year CS fundamentals, especially DBMS, OS and Computer Networks, was particularly important.
