Online Assessment After applying for the role, I was invited to take the Online Assessment. The OA consisted of 3 coding questions with a total duration of 180 minutes. There were 2 medium-level and 1 hard-level questions. The questions were quite challenging, so having a strong understanding of DSA and problem-solving techniques is important to solve them efficiently. Fortunately, I was able to solve all three questions within around 1.5 hours. Technical Round After the OA results were announced, I was shortlisted for the L2 role. The technical interview was conducted offline at the company's Kolkata New Town office. I received the interview notification around 8–9 days before the scheduled date. The interviewer started directly with DSA and gave me two medium-level problems, which I had to solve and code on LeetCode. It took me around 40 minutes to explain my approach and code both solutions. The problems were based on Insert Interval and Circular Tour. The discussion then moved to my projects. The interviewer asked several in-depth questions about one of my projects involving image processing. I was able to answer some of them, but unfortunately, I could not answer a few of the deeper technical questions. Next, I was given a medium-level SQL problem based on Confirmation Rate. I was able to explain the correct approach, but I forgot the syntax for the "CASE" statement and could not implement the query correctly. The interviewer then asked a few basic questions related to APIs, followed by two system design and software design questions. One was related to the Singleton Design Pattern, while the other focused on the Interface Segregation Principle (ISP). Since I had mentioned using cloud technologies and sockets in one of my projects, I was also asked a few basic questions about both topics. Overall, the technical interview was quite comprehensive and lasted around 1.5 hours.
