Experience:

This experience is shared by Karthik Naren about his internship interview process at Bosch, specifically for Data Science and Software roles.

Round 1: Technical Assessment
This round had a total of 42 questions. It was structured with 20 minutes for aptitude, 20 minutes for general technical questions, and 40 minutes for coding. The coding section had two questions, which were described as "pretty easy" and 40 minutes was "much more sufficient." However, the time for the aptitude section was very limited. The assessment evaluated general aptitude and technical knowledge relevant to the field.

Round 2: Technical Interview
The technical interview required a deep understanding of the candidate's chosen field. For Data Science roles, questions could range from K-means and Random Forest (in the past) to current topics like "how ChatGPT works," expecting an understanding of generative AI. For embedded or other electrical fields, questions would be specific to those domains. Interviewers also focused heavily on projects, asking about contributions to group projects and ensuring the candidate understood all modules, even if they didn't technically work on them. Questions were also asked to highlight points on the resume that differentiate the candidate.

Round 3: HR Round
Unlike previous years, an HR round was compulsory from 2023 onwards. Common HR questions included willingness to relocate to any of Bosch's four offices in India (Bangalore, Pune, Coimbatore, and one more).

Tips: For the assessment, a good understanding of your field and general aptitude is key. For the technical interview, have a very deep understanding of your projects and core subjects. Stay updated on current technologies, especially in fields like Data Science.
