Toshiba Software (India) Pvt. Ltd. (TSIP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation in Japan. Recently, Toshiba conducted campus recruitment at our college for the 2025 batch, seeking fresh graduates for the position of Trainee Engineer. Eligibility criteria Above 70% in class 10 or equivalent Above 70% in class 12 or equivalent Above 7 CGPA in BE /BTech Skills Operating system knowledge Computer architecture knowledge Strong c programming skills Strong analytical skills Round 1 - online assessment C programming MCQs on pointers , strings , structures , array and linked lists Aptitude questions on profit loss , patterns , simple and compound interest , relationships , directions and math concepts A 2min section to assess reaction time 1 coding question , there were 2 for ECE branch students my friends said The question was to implement ALT+TAB function to switch apps , we need to return the array of programs after n ALT+TAB hits which was passed as an input along with the initial array of programs. Round 2 - Interview Questions were on pointers , locks in linux , linked lists , strings , logic gates and structures. If you look into basics on all these topics you'll be able to answer them. Linked Lists and String questions ranged from easy to medium. Round 3 - Interview Questions were on OS(deadlocks , scheduling algorithms , critical section , functions of OS , virtual memory) , direct memory access , to flip a bit given a hexadecimal number and position , pointers , arrays , linked list and linux. These questions required proper understanding of all these topics. they helped me out a little when i got stuck in the middle. Questions again ranged from easy to medium on arrays and linked list. Round 4 - Interview This round mainly focused on analytical skills. what is an interrupt ? how do you say if the stack is growing upward or downward in the memory ? If there's a 64-bit counter divided into two 32-bit numbers, and a function retrieves the counter value by left-shifting the first 32-bit number and performing a bitwise OR with the second 32-bit number, under what conditions might this function fail? What could be done to resolve this issue? how to tell if a function has made a stack overflow(during execution) given the size of stack , once it has completed execution ? To make a pointer point to x,y,z in an array of 200,200,200 without indexing. Puzzles to assess analytical skills search for answers in stackoverflow you'll get the answers. I was able to answer three questions and almost all the puzzles. The interviewer was very supportive and provided helpful hints that allowed me to showcase my potential in answering the questions. Round 5 - Interview HR round Went like a usual HR round. Background info was asked and activities you did in you college. Terms and conditions , CTC , role were explained.
