The hiring process for the Associate Software Engineer role at Bosch Global Software Technologies involved two main rounds.
Round 1: Online Assessment (SHL Platform)
This round consisted of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering core subjects and verbal ability. Additionally, there were two Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems, which were described as easy to medium in difficulty. The candidate was able to solve both DSA problems easily and cleared this round.
Round 2: Online Interview (Technical + Behavioral)
The interview began with a self-introduction from the candidate. The interviewer then delved into the candidate's projects, showing interest in the project structure, approach, and use-case. Following the project discussion, a very basic DSA question was asked. The interviewer proceeded to ask questions on core subjects and Linux. Questions related to COA and digital engineering were also part of this round, though the candidate found some of these challenging. Finally, the interviewer posed behavioral and situation-based questions, such as how the candidate would handle a teammate's unplanned leave with a pending deadline. The interviewer was reportedly impressed with the answers, and the candidate cleared this round.
Tips: Be thorough with your projects and core subjects. Basic DSA knowledge is sufficient. Prepare for behavioral and situational questions.
