The eligibility criteria required a minimum of 80% in 10th, 12th, and CGPA, and the interview process consisted of four rounds beginning with a technical screening on Google Meet where around 25 students participated, the interviewers shared Java code snippets, and students had to raise their hands and explain the output, with topics including string manipulation, loop-based logic, nested loops with break, character transformation, and while loops with continue and break, and those who answered two or more questions correctly moved ahead while about eight students were eliminated; Round 2 was the code explanation round, based on Round 1 performance, where candidates were asked to explain previously solved code in detail, and seven students were selected including me, with the key insight being that clarity of understanding was the main focus; Round 3 was the main coding hackathon conducted at the Synergech office in Chennai, lasting three hours, preceded by five days of training on Java fundamentals and Value Object concepts, and the problem structure included Level 0 with one problem, Level 1 with two problems (solve any one), Level 2 with one problem, and Level 3 with two problems, covering math and pattern problems, string manipulation, and Value Object-based problems, with sample problems like license eligibility check, email validation, and Java Value Object design, where I solved three problems completely and partially solved one but faced difficulty with Value Object concepts, resulting in rejection in this round despite more than 50 students participating from multiple colleges; Round 4 was the HR interview which included self-introduction, project discussions, and logical questions, and the key takeaways from the entire process were that strong Java fundamentals are essential, Value Object concepts are important, understanding concepts matters more than memorization, communication skills play a major role, and hackathon rounds truly test real problem-solving ability; although I was rejected in Round 3, the experience gave me clear direction for improvement, and overall the process was smooth, professional, and insightful, offering a valuable learning opportunity.
