Experience:

This recruitment process by Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) for freshers included a pre-placement talk, an online test, and a combined technical and HR interview, all conducted in offline mode.

Round 1: Online Test

The online test was conducted on the HirePro Platform and had no negative marking. It lasted 100-120 minutes and was audio and video proctored. The test was divided into four sections: Aptitude, Technical, Coding (2 questions), and C/Cpp Section. Navigation between sections was not allowed, but navigation between questions within a section was permitted. All questions were mandatory.

Round 2: Technical Round

The technical interview covered a wide range of topics:

  • "Tell me about yourself."
  • Explanation of all projects.
  • "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"
  • Difference between structure and union.
  • Difference between pointer to array and array of pointers.
  • What is a function pointer?
  • Difference between C and C++.
  • Four pillars of OOPs (polymorphism, inheritance mentioned).
  • Difference between linear and binary search.
  • Quick sort implementation.
  • Difference between microcontroller and microprocessor.
  • Coding questions: print star pattern, find a substring in a string using a pointer and without a pointer.
  • Puzzles: 3 room 3 switches, measure 4 liters.

Round 3: HR Round

The HR round included common behavioral and personal questions:

  • "Tell me about yourself."
  • Family background.
  • "Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?"
  • Projects (which project was close to you and why, what did you learn from your project).
  • Hobbies.
  • Readiness to work in any location.
  • "Did you encourage new ideas coming from your teammates?"
  • "Do you have any questions for me?"

Suggestions for candidates included being thorough with basics in OOPs, CN (Computer Networks), and COA, knowing all technologies used in projects, maintaining confidence, and preparing good questions to ask the interviewers.
