MEESHOInterview Experience — SDE

MEESHO Online Coding Round Problem 1-https://leetcode.com/problems/unique-binary-search-trees/description/ Problem 2-https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/699973/goldman-sachs-oa-turnstile Problem 3-It was a standard dp problem. I solved all the above question and was shortlisted for the interview round.27 people were shortlisted for the next round. Interview Round 1 Interview was held on Google meet and It was a Machine coding round of 90 minutes.Interview started with basic introduction and interviewer shared a google document where a problem statement was written and he explained the problem statement. Below is the problem statement. Problem statement: Design a simplified version of Facebook where users can create/delete posts, follow/unfollow another user and are able to see the most recent posts in the user's news feed. Following methods to be implemented: createPost(userld,content): Compose a new post. getNewsFeed(userld): Retrieve the 10 most recent post ids in the user's news feed. Each item in the news feed must be posted by users who the user followed or by the user herself (Order -> most to least recent) follow(followerld, followeeld): Follower follows a followee. deletePost(userId, postId) : delete post of a user unfollow(followerld, followeeld): [bonus] Follower unfollows a followee. So he asked me to share my screen and asked me to open any online compiler where I will be implementing this above class with 4 functionalities and 1 bonus functionalities. I had already solved a similar problem on Leetcode and used Heap data structure to solve this problem . Problem Link-https://leetcode.com/problems/design-twitter/description/ I explain and coded my complete approach in 75 minutes and interviewer was satisfied with my approach and asked some follow-up Qs asking some better approaches and I discussed 2-3 more approaches and he was satisfied with my approaches. Concepts - OOPS CONCEPTS(should be able to code from scratch),Knowledge of Data Structures and how and when to use it, Basic Logic Implementation ablity. TIPS-You should explain each and every logic and apporach in detail until the interviewer is satisfied.Solve the design based qs on the Leetcode. 6-7 people were shortlisted for the next round. Interview Round 2 This was a managerial round taken by Senior Manager of more than 10 years of corporate experience. It started with basic introduction and HR qs like- Why do you want to join Meesho?If you get an offer from Flipkart then which company will you join Flipkart or Meesho? Why you don’t have an internship experience? Why do you want to join Software company as you are from ELectronics branch? Then interviewer asked me qs about my projects on my resume in depth and every functionality that was implemented in project was discussed in depth. Then he asked some basic qs like what is Load balancer,DNS and some basic qs of Operating systems like how to solve concurrency problem etc.. After then he asked me to write some SQL Commands related to JOINS. The interviewer was satisfied with my answers and he told me about the work that I will be doing as an Intern before joining Full time and the Techstacks on which Meesho is currently working on. VERDICT-Rejected No one was selected for the role from our college.
