Detailed experience
The interview started with a short introduction where I also mentioned all the projects I had worked on. After that, the interviewer moved to a coding question based on Dynamic Programming “Find the Longest Palindromic Substring.” I first explained the brute-force approach and implemented it as requested. Then, the interviewer asked me to optimize it. I explained how we can use a DP to store whether a substring is a palindrome. The interviewer seemed satisfied with my explanation. He asked some questions during the implementation of a different approach which I didn’t understand initially, but after a hint, I was able to solve it correctly. After the coding part, he asked a few behavioral questions around 3-4 in total. The first was about the most challenging project I had worked on and how I tackled the problems in it. I explained two of my projects, focusing more on my backend project since I knew from his profile that he was interested in backend systems. The second question was about how I motivate myself to learn or work on something new. The third was related to Visa what I know about the company and why I want to work there. At last, he asked whether I had any questions for him. Overall, the interview was quite easy and not difficult. The interviewer initially seemed a bit uninterested, and at one point, it felt like I was the only one speaking. But at the end it was a great experience overall.
