Difficulty: Easy to Medium (DSA), Medium (Online Assessment with finance)
Rounds: 2 for internship (Technical, Technical + Managerial)
Topics Asked: DSA, OOPS, Resume grilling, Projects, Past internship experiences, Financial questions.
This experience is shared by Jai Aggarwal, an SDE at Wells Fargo and a recent graduate from Delhi Technological University, who secured a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) through his summer internship at Wells Fargo in Hyderabad.
Online Assessment:
The online assessment was described as different from other companies. It included DSA questions of easy to medium difficulty. A distinguishing factor was the inclusion of grammar and finance-related questions, such as interpreting candlestick charts to predict stock movement. This was seen as a measure to reduce cheating.
First Technical Interview:
This round was relatively simple. It started with a comparatively easy and basic pattern-making question. The discussion then moved to strings and string manipulation questions, and a bit of trees. Many questions were theoretical, focusing on the candidate's core understanding of data structures rather than just coding ability.
Second Round: Managerial plus Technical:
This round involved resume grilling, discussions about how projects were made, and past internship experiences. A vague but challenging question asked the candidate to "explain OOPS to me," requiring a comprehensive explanation of the entire concept. The interviewer also asked about financial knowledge, including how the candidate researches companies before investing and parameters analyzed.
Tips: Focus on getting the basics of DSA right and understanding the internal working of data structures, not just mugging up LeetCode solutions. Be prepared for financial questions in the online assessment.
