This interview experience is from an SDE who successfully cracked Visa and is currently working there. The experience dates back to February 2025.
Round 1: Online Assessment: The OA consisted of three questions: one easy and two medium-hard. Visa primarily focuses on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). The questions were based on arrays, hashmap, and stacks/queues. The candidate was able to solve two and a half questions.
Round 2: Technical Interview 1 (Resume-based): This round was highly dependent on the interviewer. For this candidate, it involved a very high-level discussion where the interviewer looked deeply into the resume and asked resume-based questions. The candidate emphasized being thorough with everything written on the resume. A few SQL questions were also asked.
Round 3: Technical Interview 2 (System Design/CS Fundamentals): This round covered a wide range of topics. A basic level system design question was asked, specifically a URL shortener, which the candidate explained at a high level as a fresher.
Round 4: Managerial Round: This round was described as engaging and cool. It started with basic questions about the candidate's interests. It then delved into technical topics related to security, encryption, and authorization, given Visa's focus on security.
