This candidate participated in the "Meet Visa Event" for Women in Technology in September 2023 for a Software Engineer role. Despite an enriching experience, the candidate was not among the three shortlisted.
Round 1: Technical Assessment: This was the initial screening round.
Round 2: Technical Interview: The interview began with a discussion of projects on the resume. OOPS-based questions were asked, including the 4 pillars of OOPS, encapsulation, abstraction, their differences, virtual functions, and the diamond problem. Discussions also covered DOM (Document Object Model), computer network questions like different network topologies and their advantages/disadvantages, and network security. SQL questions included primary and foreign keys.
Round 3: Managerial Round: This round focused on technologies mentioned on the resume such as SpringBoot, React.js, MongoDB, and Jira. The advantages and disadvantages of Flask were specifically asked. The candidate was also asked to come up with an algorithm for designing heaps/priority queues. Further OOPS questions on polymorphism and encapsulation were also posed.
Round 4: HR Round: The HR round included questions about the candidate's initial thoughts on advancing to this round, their day, and the latest technology trends that fascinated them, along with potential improvements in those areas. The candidate was challenged to envision improvements in online payment systems like Paytm and Google Pay and to design a new Cryptographic Algorithm.
