The candidate, a 4th-year undergraduate from Mechanical Engineering (ME1) at IIT Delhi, interned as a Quant Researcher. The process involved an initial CGPA cutoff. After an online test, 8 out of 9 shortlisted candidates proceeded to the interview rounds, and ultimately, four were selected, with this candidate being the only QR intern. The interview consisted of three back-to-back 20-minute rounds. The questions primarily focused on puzzles and probability problems. The final round included a very open-ended optimization problem that did not have a definitive answer. Preparation involved standard Quant prep, brushing up on basics of probability and statistics (MTL108), and leveraging a minor in Computer Science (COL106 for DSA and algorithmic thinking, COL351 for Analysis and Design of Algorithms). The candidate also recommended Brainstellar for quant preparation.
