Interview Date: April 2025
Interview Type: Off-Campus (Referral)
Result: Strong hire in DSA and HR, lean hire in system design (Implied Selected)
Difficulty: Not Specified
Rounds: 3 rounds
Topics Asked: Data Structures, Algorithms (Merge Intervals, Topological Sorting), System Design (LLD - BookMyShow.com), Functional and Non-functional Requirements, Entities and Relationships, APIs, HR questions, situation-based questions
The process began with resume-based shortlisting after a referral. HR conducted an initial call to discuss current and previous internships, location preference, and expected CTC.
Round 1: DSA
This round happened on April 25, 2025. There were two questions: one was a variation of merge intervals, and the other leveraged topological sorting. For both, the brute force approach had to be discussed, and code for optimized approaches had to be written and run on various test cases.
Round 2: System Design/Entity Modelling (LLD)
This round occurred on April 28, 2025. The problem statement was to design BookMyShow.com, with only Low-Level Design (LLD) expected. The candidate had to discuss functional and non-functional requirements, assumptions, and then define the necessary entities and their relationships. The goal was to write all the APIs, but due to time constraints, the full code couldn't be written.
Round 3: HR/Culture fit
This round took place on April 30, 2025. Standard HR questions were asked, related to previous work, situation-based scenarios, and the candidate's approach to problem-solving.
After all rounds, feedback indicated a strong hire in DSA and HR, and a lean hire in the system design round.
