Topics Asked: Data Structures (recursion, sum N numbers, pyramid pattern, sort/reverse array, stack vs queue, double-ended queue, linked list, reverse linked list), Algorithms, Database (create DB/table, update, joins), Logic/Puzzles (minimum angle between clock hands, X to power N without multiplication/division), Projects, Behavioral.
The placement drive for Jr. Associate consisted of 4 rounds.
Round 1 (Coding Test): This round was conducted on HackerEarth and had 3 questions to be solved in 1 hour. The difficulty level was described as easy to hard (first easy, second medium, last hard). The candidate solved 2 out of 3 questions and was shortlisted.
Round 2 (Technical Interview 1 - F2F): After waiting for about 5 hours, the interview started with "introduce myself" and a description of the candidate's project. This was a copy-pen-based round. Questions included: "What is recursion?", "sum first N number with the help of recursion and loop also", "print the pyramid pattern", "Sort an array", "Reverse an array", "Difference between stack and queue", "Double ended queue", "Linked list", "Reverse a linked list". Database questions involved writing queries for "Create a database", "Create a table", "update in table", and "Implement joins in the table". This round lasted about 30-35 minutes.
Round 3 (Technical Interview 2 - F2F): This round focused on checking the candidate's logic and involved only two programming problems. "Write a program to find the minimum angle between the hour and the minute hand of the clock" (with test cases for output) and "Write a program to calculate the value of X to the power N without using multiplication and division operations". This round lasted about 20-25 minutes.
Round 4 (HR Interview - F2F): The HR round started with "introduce myself". Questions included: "Why do you want to join us?", "Will you be able to relocate?", "Family background", and "Why we can hire you?". The candidate received an offer after this round.
