Tekion Corp visited the campus on August 8, 2022, for Associate Software Engineer roles. The process consisted of four rounds.
Round 1: Online Assessment (90 min)
- Comprised 10 MCQs and 2 coding questions.
- MCQs focused on OOPS and DSA concepts.
- Coding questions were of medium-hard difficulty.
- The candidate solved all MCQs and the second coding question, with 3-4 test cases passing for the first coding question.
- 29 candidates were selected for the next round.
Round 2: Technical Interview - I (around 60 min)
- Conducted virtually on August 10, 2022.
- Started with introductions, followed by a detailed discussion on the candidate's resume and projects, including technologies used.
- Questions included: "What is React?", "What is Virtual DOM?", with follow-up questions.
- Further discussion covered OOPS concepts, DBMS (ACID properties, SQL vs NoSQL, indexing, primary vs unique key), OS (deadlock, mutex, semaphore), and networking (HTTP/HTTPS).
- A coding question was asked: "Given a sorted rotated array and a target, find if the target is present in the array in O(logN)." The candidate explained the logic and coded the solution.
Round 3: Technical Interview - II (around 60 min)
- This round also started with introductions and a resume discussion, focusing on projects.
- The interviewer asked about various technical concepts like synchronization, process scheduling algorithms, and how to handle deadlocks.
- A DSA question was posed: "Given an array consisting of integers -1, 1, 0, print all subarrays having sum 0." The candidate solved this successfully.
Round 4: HR Round (30-40 mins)
- Typical HR questions: "Tell me about yourself," "Why Tekion?", strengths and weaknesses, improvement plans, and situation-based questions.
- General discussion and personal background questions were also part of this round.
Tips: Be confident, communicate effectively, practice DSA rigorously, maintain energy, don't fake answers, and ask questions showing interest in the company.
